Salmon Arm is located on the shores of Shuswap Lake, one of the most popular resort lakes in British Columbia. Besides a number of hotels and motels there are many resorts scattered along the lakeshore close to town.
Salmon Arm is situated on the Trans Canada Highway #1 east of Kamloops (106 km/64 miles) and Vancouver (467 km or 290 mi) and west of Sicamous (31km/19 miles) and Calgary (512 km/318 miles).
