One of Canada’s most treasured sites, and the most visited of the National Parks in the Canadian Rockies.
Jasper is the largest of the national parks in the Rockies, covering an area of more than 10,000 square kilometres.
Columbia Icefields
In both Banff & Jasper, this is the largest ice accumulation in the Cdn Rockies and the largest south of the Arctic Circle.
Spectacular scenery, including more than twenty snowcapped peaks reaching heights of over 3,000 meters (10,000 ft.).
South of Yoho, attractions include the Hot Springs, Olive Lake, Marble Canyon, Sinclair Canyon and the Paint Pots.
Glaciers cover much of the park, dominated by 10 peaks ranging from 8,530 to 11,120 ft (2,600 to 3,390 m) in height.
Mount Revelstoke
In the Selkirks, this park is very different from the Rocky Mountains to the east and the Coast Mountains to the west.
Waterton Lakes
On the Canada/US border, compared to Banff and Jasper National Parks, Waterton Lakes is quiet and uncrowded.
